In a week of nominations and awards, we’re delighted to announce that Richard Thompson and Bonnie Raitt have both won Lifetime Achievement awards at the
11th Annual Americana Honors & Awards ceremony in Nashville. Bonnie Raitt won the award for Performance while Richard Thompson won it for Songwriting. Other winners this year included Jason Isbell for Song of the Year, while the Guy Clark tribute This One’s For Him (produced by Tamara Saviano and Shawn Camp) took Album of the Year. “The award was made further poignant coming just moments after Clark performed his own, My Favorite Picture of You, taking the stage to a standing ovation.

Lifetime Achievement Award for Executive: Dennis Lord
Played as a tribute to the late Levon Helm, who died earlier this year, Levon’s daughter Amy Helm starts the song with Levon Helm Band members Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams, before being joined by the full house band including Jim Lauderdale, Darrell Scott and Sam Bush.
Guest vocalists include Bonnie Raitt, John Hiatt, Richard Thompson, Emmylou Harris and Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes trading off on vocals.
