DuoTone – New Video & Tour

DuoTone

Having supported an eclectic host of musical stars including The Imagined Village, Midge Ure, The Miserable Rich, Chris Wood, Roddy Woomble and Lau over the past few years, DuoTone finally hit the road for a well deserved tour of their own this evening, kicking off in Bristol.

Featuring Barney Morse-Brown (cellist for The Imagined Village and Chris Wood’s Handmade Life) and James Garrett (singer-songwriter and percussionist), DuoTone write and perform their own contemporary acoustic songs, experimenting with looping guitars, cellos, percussion and voices to create ethereal soundscapes woven through with their own poignant lyrics.

“If Hendrix had played cello it would have sounded something like DuoTone”

Watch the video to Duotone’s new single Alphabet (directed by Alex Kemp & starring Bert Audubert as the keen ‘treasure’ detector), taken from their acclaimed second album Ropes released earlier this year on ECC, and check tour dates below.
