If you’re in the London area this weekend why not pop down to The Coach & Horses on Leyton High Road where you’ll find the regular house band and various guests serving up the blues from 2.00pm through ’til closing time. The tickets are priced at a very reasonable £7.00 for the day or £2.00 for the evening jam session, so take your instrument of choice along and join in too. All proceeeds are to be donated to the British Blues Archive. Given our strong musical heritage and deep-seated love affair with the blues, there must be a wealth of material worth preserving and with cuts, cuts and more cuts every penny will count. It should be a lively afternoon and evening and with Record Collector’s editor, Ian McCann, on the wheels of steel you can expect some rarities and gems to be spun in between and around the live music.
