Next week sees the release of Yngve & The Innocent‘s debut recording, The Sadness Of Remembering, on Posttone Records. Fronted by talented songwriter Yngve Wieland (born in Germany, raised in Ireland, residing in London), the group’s lyrical brand of folk and country infused rock has been tightly honed from three years on the road before heading into London’s Soup Studio to record this album live on 1″ tape with producer Simon Trought (The Kills, Allo Darlin’) at the controls.
“Channelling the spirit of rambunctious bar room elegies, New Orleans’ sagacious soul, and the rambling, roving commentary of The Basement Tapes segueing into Music From Big Pink.”
Check out the band’s album sampler and video below and catch Yngve – solo and with The Innocent – at gigs and festivals during the summer.
